This is #MYTIME

It's a new year and time for a fresh start. Make this year the year you take charge and look after your body inside and out. This is #MYTIME and what better time than now!

I have recently resigned with my sponsors MYPROTEIN and to celebrate this I want to share with you some top tips on how to Burn Fat, Build Muscle and Transform your bodies not only for this year but for every year. Don't make getting fit a New Years resolution make it a life resolution.

We shouldn't be scared of building lean muscle. They shape the way our bodies look and keep us fit and strong.

  • Eat Well - When protein gets absorbed into the bloodstreams it's sent out to various parts of your body to perform certain functions. One such functions is repairing muscle tissues. Eating a balanced diet rich in proteins can help with muscle development. Sip on healthy shakes made from Almond Milk and Cacao to get your protein fix. See the full recipe here.
  • Check out this link to read 6 reasons why Women should Squat, Deadlift & Bench Press (Click Here) Building muscle keeps me feeling fit and strong. Both exercise and diet can contribute to muscle development.

After the festive period I am sure we all have some extra fat to burn. I know I certainly do and with my fast approaching Wedding I need to make sure I can get into "The Dress" and here's how I am going to do it.

  • Do more HIIT Training - HIIT training stands for High Intensity Interval Training. You give 100% effort in intense burst of exercise, with short rest periods in between. It keeps your heart rate up thus burning fat. I love HIIT training. It's great to do at home, your local gym or even on the beach.
  • Eat a healthy breakfast - Having breakfast will kick start your metabolism which will nourish your muscles and initiate the fat burning process. Check out my blog post about Eggs, they are my favourite thing to have for breakfast and give me the energy I need to workout.
  • Try some Green Tea - There are lots of studies out there to say that green tea can aid weight loss and equally just as many to say it doesn't. I personally love Green Tea and think it's helped me shed unwanted pounds. It's definitely an acquired taste and not to everyones liking. If you hate Green Tea you should try Green Tea Extract Supplements and Green Tea Extract Powder

Transform your body into the one you want to look at everyday. I want to become leaner, stronger and more flexible and this is how I going to get there.

  • Reduce my refined sugar intake - There are so many natural unrefined sugars on the market that there's no need to cook with refined sugar anymore. I have recently tried Organic Lucuma Powder in baking and I love it.
  • Walk more - Ditch the car and walk more. Walk to the shops, to check the surf whatever it is the more active you are the better you will feel.
  • Practice more pilates - For me Pilates is a great way to tone the areas surfing doesn't. It keeps my core strong and my muscles toned and lean.

These are just some of things that I will do doing this year. It's #MYTIME to be the best that I can be. If you need some motivation to get off the sofa and get out there then watch this edit from MYPROTEIN it will certainly make you want to get moving.

Also if you have any tips that you want to share I would love to hear about it. Please leave me a comment.
