ALUNA HOT CHOCOLATE

If a mug of hot chocolate wasn't good enough, I only went and added Aluna Coconut Rum and took it to a whole new level, a very decadent grown up level. This beverage is perfect for those cosy get togethers with friends over Christmas or a little afternoon treat whilst watching your favourite Christmas film. Not only is this hot chocolate completely delicious but it is also vegan and whether you're vegan or not I am sure you will love it! If you're a chocolate and coconut fan you're going to want to give this recipe a go.


I N G R E D I E N T S


2 Heaped Teaspoons of Organic Cacao Powder - I used the MyProtein one

2 Heaped Teaspoons of Organic Coconut Sugar - I used the MyProtein one

25ml Shot of Aluna Coconut Rum

3/4 Mug of Organic Coconut Milk (or the milk of your choice)

1 Teaspoon of Clarks Carob Syrup


M E T H O D

The hot chocolate is best heated on the hob.

Blend a little of the coconut milk with the cacao powder and create a nice thick paste. Then gradually add the rest of the milk and sugar, stir and gradually warm.

Add the shot of Aluna Coconut to the mix and the carob syrup.

Stir and gently bring to the boil. As soon as it reaches the boil, remove from the heat.

Add to the mug of your choice and enjoy!
