WEIGHTED WORKOUT

I am sure I'm not the only one, who gets into the gym and hasn't a clue what to do. Some days I smash my workouts and work my way around the gym with ease. But then there are those days where I haven't a clue where to start and when I do get going I just seem to do the same old thing and frankly, it get's a little boring.

In all honesty, I think that's why most people avoid the gym because they get bored doing the same routine. I will hold my hands up and say that from time to time I am one of these people and as much as I love keeping fit, I need variety to keep my mind happy.
Luckily for me, I have a friend on a fitness mission for her looming holiday, so taking full advance of her regular gym visits I tagged along to give her workout a go.


Using predominantly free weights and machines I embarked on a whole new type of work out (for me anyway). Working my upper body and legs we worked in pyramid sets, increasing out weights each time. Admittedly I am not living heavyweights but they are weights all the same and extremely effective when done in sets.

- All exercises were completed in 3 sets

- Any weighted exercises were done is sets of 12, 10, 8

- With the weight increasing every time

- The only exception was the abdominal exercise. This I aimed for 25 in 3 hits ... and it was HARD!
